Work with a mental performance coach in the same way you work with any sports coach.
Talk through your concerns, frustrations, insecurities and goals. Have 1:1 sessions, reflect on your habits and your behaviours to develop your mental game. This will improve focus, performance and your ability to cope with pressure, nerves and setbacks.
Reach your potential whether amateur or professional.
Young, elite sportspeople involved in high-performance settings such as professional academies or competing at county, national and international level can find themselves under enormous pressure, struggling to balance school, friendships and their sporting commitments.
Our mentors are qualified and experienced physical education teachers, so they understand education systems and pressure, teenage behaviours as well as the demands of sport elite. Working regularly with one of our mentors helps young athletes find a healthy life/school/sport balance and actually improve performance both on the sports pitch and in school.
Parents of elite athletes can find themselves under enormous pressure, committing huge amounts of time, emotion and energy to their children's pursuit of sporting excellence. This can add pressure in the family home, taking its toll on relationships between couples and siblings.
There can be additional pressures of financial burdens and other sacrifices, especially the constant obligation to put others' needs first. This can be damaging to health and mental health. Working regularly with a mentor who understands the demands of sport, parenting and education, can help parents of a young athlete find a healthy balance and improve their support of the entire household.
